Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Athletic Angels LLC, a limited liability company based in San Francisco, California, USA (EIN: 93-3785755) ("we", "us", "our"). By using Tio, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. The Service

Tio is an assistant for group chats on WhatsApp and Telegram. It helps groups split bills, set reminders, run polls, and coordinate plans. Tio only acts when it is mentioned or when a clear task is detected — it does not read or store all messages.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU)
• You must comply with WhatsApp's and Telegram's terms of service
• You must have the right to add Tio to any group you invite it to

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Send spam, harassment, or unsolicited bulk messages through Tio
• Use Tio for illegal activity, fraud, or to violate anyone's rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the service
• Resell or sublicense Tio without our written permission
• Use Tio to collect data about other users without their consent

5. Subscriptions & Payments

• Free tier: Limited features, no payment required.
• Pro plan: $7.99/month with a 7-day free trial. Full feature access.
• You can cancel anytime from your account settings or via Stripe.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms.
• Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. You're responsible for keeping a valid payment method on file.

6. Refund Policy

If you cancel your Pro subscription within the first week of a paid billing period, you're entitled to a prorated refund for the unused portion of that period. After the first week, payments are non-refundable, but you can cancel at any time to prevent future charges. To request a refund, email hello@trytio.tech.

7. Intellectual Property

The Tio brand, software, and content are owned by us. You retain ownership of any content you send to Tio (messages, photos, receipts). By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide Tio's features.

8. Disclaimers

Tio is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate. AI-generated outputs (e.g. receipt parsing) may contain mistakes — always double-check before relying on them for financial decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tio and Dani Magaziev are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, data loss, group disputes, missed reminders, or payment processing issues handled by Stripe. Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

You can stop using Tio at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that harms other users or the platform. On termination, your data will be deleted in line with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Where required by law, you retain rights under your local consumer protection statutes.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. For material changes, we'll notify users directly. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
